2014.40 & 41 hands & hearts

Two weeks ago, we went to the Apartheid Museum in Jo’Burg with my parents.  I was angered, I was saddened, but I was also inspired.  As we walked around, I wrote down names to research.  Names of people who refused to accept that divided ‘status quo’, who stood up against injustice.  I want to hear their stories, to know their hope for this country, still so fractured.

Then this week, we had another epic swimming trip and a girls’ sleepover.  There were loom bands a-plenty, and some chat of hearts and boys.  My prayer for these girls is that they will be empowered to make good decisions for their lives, and each play their part in changing this nation.
